Prospective graduate students can apply to the Hart lab through the Department of Psychology at Florida State University. Please also contact Dr. Hart directly with any questions (see Contact page). Preference will be given to prospective students interested in focusing on behavioral genetics methods. FYI: Dr. Hart is not 100% certain she will be taking a student.

The Individual Differences in Cognitive Development (IDCd) lab has openings for responsible, enthusiastic students who want to gain research experience in Developmental and Cognitive Psychology through DIS credits. The following is our current DIS ad.
Dr. Hart is seeking undergraduate DIS students! The Individual Differences in Cognitive Development lab is focused on understanding what makes people different from each other regarding educational outcomes. Her current project, the National Project on Achievement in Twins, aims to understand why some children struggle in school, while others do not. Students will have the opportunity to gain valuable research experience and build their communication skills!
Duties will include:
- Calling elementary schools
- Preparing mailings
- Data entry
- Occasional community recruitment events
- Attending weekly lab meetings
